Earnhardt Jr. is signed through the 2017 season with Rick Hendrick. The National Guard signed up for another season, being the primary sponsor for 20 races this season. Pepsi/Diet Mountain Dew dropped their sponorship down to 5 races with Earnhardt. This leaves the #88 Chev without a primary sponsor for 13 races. Team owner Rick Hendrick doesn't seem to concerned saying he's had plenty of interest for future sponsorship.
Maybe it's just me but Earnhardt's star doesn't seem as bright as it once was.
